Mi-17 helicopter belonging to Pakistan Army Aviation crashed near Muzaffarabad during take-off on Wednesday after reportedly developing a technical fault, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In an official statement, the military’s media wing confirmed that all personnel on board embraced Shahadat (martyrdom) in the tragic accident, adding that there were no survivors.

According to ISPR, the helicopter encountered a technical malfunction shortly after take-off, resulting in the crash near Muzaffarabad in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Rescue and recovery teams were immediately dispatched to the crash site following the incident. Authorities secured the area and initiated efforts to recover the wreckage and the bodies of the deceased personnel.
The identities and number of the personnel martyred in the crash have not yet been officially disclosed. The military said further details would be shared after completion of initial procedures and notification of the families concerned.
