Pakistan Railways has announced the operation of three special trains for Eidul Adha 2026 to facilitate passengers traveling to their hometowns during the holiday season.

The decision comes as thousands of people across Pakistan prepare to travel from major cities to celebrate Eid with their families, leading to increased pressure on transport services.

According to railway officials, the special Eid trains will provide additional, safer, and more comfortable travel facilities for passengers during the busy festive period.

The first Eid Special Train will depart from Quetta to Rawalpindi on May 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The train will travel through Kotri and Rohri before reaching its destination.

Officials said the train will consist of eight economy-class coaches and one power van, while a total rake of 18 bogies has been arranged.

The second Eid Special Train will depart from Karachi Cantt to Rawalpindi on May 24, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The train will operate through the Main Line route, passing through Multan, Faisalabad, Sargodha, and Lala Musa.

According to Pakistan Railways, this train will include nine economy-class coaches and one power van, while a total of 20 bogies have been prepared for passengers.

Meanwhile, the third Eid Special Train will depart from Karachi City to Lahore on May 25, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The train will travel through the Main Line, Multan, and Sahiwal routes before reaching Lahore.

Officials stated that this train will include eight economy-class coaches and one power van, with a total rake consisting of 18 bogies.

Railway authorities said the initiative aims to reduce travel difficulties during the Eid rush and improve passenger convenience as demand for intercity transportation increases ahead of the holidays.
