Pakistan’s bullion market recorded a welcome recovery on Thursday, as gold prices bounced back strongly following previous session of sharp decline.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs. 5,000, settling at Rs. 475,362.

Similarly, the rate of 24-karat gold per 10 grams increased by Rs. 4,287, closing at Rs. 407,546, while 22-karat gold per 10 grams climbed by Rs. 3,930 to Rs. 373,597.
Gold rates in Pakistan on Thursday, May 21, 2026:
- Gold, 24K per tola: Rs. 475,362 (+5,000)
- Gold, 24K per 10 grams: Rs. 407,546 (+4,287)
- Gold, 22K per 10 grams: Rs. 373,597 (+3,930)
Meanwhile, international gold prices also recorded a strong recovery, gaining $50 to settle at $4,530 per ounce.

The rebound in global bullion markets provided a significant lift to domestic gold prices, as investors returned to the market with renewed confidence following the steep losses recorded over the previous sessions.
Despite the recovery, gold prices remain well below recent highs, and market watchers will be closely monitoring whether this upturn can be sustained in the coming sessions.
All rates are officially certified by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, based on interbank exchange rates for 999 purity (24K).
