The regulator is scheduled to hear the petition on May 19 in Islamabad, where companies have requested a total relief of Rs63.936 billion for consumers.

The breakdown of the proposed relief includes a reduction of Rs36.837 billion under capacity charges, along with Rs11.243 billion in cuts related to system usage charges and market operation fees.

However, the petition also includes a recovery request of Rs2.777 billion under monthly adjustment losses, slightly offsetting the overall relief.
