The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has extended the deadline for submission of examination forms, providing relief to thousands of intermediate students across the city.
According to media reports, the extension applies to second-year (XII) students, including fresh candidates, failed students, and those applying for improvement exams in 2026.

The board has revised the final submission date from April 22, 2026, to April 24, 2026, allowing additional time for students who were unable to complete their application process earlier.
Officials have urged students to submit their forms before the new deadline to avoid any inconvenience, as no further extension is expected after the revised date.

For ease and accessibility, the board has enabled students to download their admit cards online, eliminating the need to visit offices physically and reducing last-minute hassle.
Earlier to this, Sindh government has announced a strict zero-tolerance policy against cheating, warning that students involved in cheating during board exams could face a lifetime ban from appearing in future examinations.

In a joint statement, Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah and Minister for Boards and Universities Muhammad Ismail Rahu said the move aims to eliminate the cheating culture in matric and intermediate examinations across the province.
Under the new rules, any student caught cheating will have all their papers cancelled immediately.
The media report, citing officials, claimed that the students found carrying mobile phones or any cheating material inside examination centres will be expelled on the spot and disqualified from appearing in current and upcoming exams.
