According to the CM Sindh, the subsidy will not be provided at petrol pumps. Instead, eligible citizens will receive the amount directly through a digital system.

How to Apply for the Rs 2,000 Fuel Subsidy

To apply for the Fuel Subsidy in Sindh, citizens will need to use a mobile application developed by the Sindh Excise Department, expected to go live within two to three days for public registration, as announced by CM Sindh.

Applicants must enter their CNIC number, after which the system will automatically display vehicles registered under their name following verification.

Applicants will then be required to enter their IBAN number to receive the payment. IBAN, or International Bank Account Number, is necessary for direct bank transfers.

What If You Don’t Have an IBAN?

Citizens who do not have an IBAN must first open a bank account, as payments will only be made through formal banking channels. Without a valid IBAN, the subsidy cannot be processed.

According to CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah, the fuel subsidy payments are expected to begin around April 15. From that point onward, verified beneficiaries will start receiving the Rs2,000 financial assistance in their accounts.

What is the Eligibility for Fuel Subsidy in Sindh?

As per CM Sindh statement, only motorcycles registered in the applicant’s name will qualify for the subsidy. If a motorcycle does not appear in the application, it indicates that the vehicle is not registered under that CNIC, making the applicant ineligible until ownership is corrected.

If a motorcycle does not appear in the application, it means the vehicle is not registered under the applicant’s name, and ownership must be updated through the excise department.

To facilitate this, the Sindh government has waived the Rs500 transfer fee, allowing citizens to register their motorcycles in their own name without additional cost.
