The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken serious notice of a recent broadcast by media outlets, calling it baseless and misleading regarding Pakistani left-arm fast bowler Salman Mirza.
In the report, Media outlets claimed that, “Hotel management has stated that Salman Mirza harassed a woman, and the team management has fined him over these allegations,” which the PCB says is completely unverified and false.

In an official statement, the PCB strongly condemned the dissemination of such unverified news, describing it as both malicious and irresponsible.
The board emphasized that spreading false information damages the reputation of players and undermines the integrity of the sport.

The PCB also stated that it reserves the right to take appropriate action against those responsible for producing and circulating the false report.
The board urged media outlets to verify facts before broadcasting and called on the public to rely only on official statements from the PCB.
