The Government of Pakistan has announced a major reform in Hajj management, deciding to fully digitalize all Hajj operations for 2026.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication to start the digital transformation process.

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf and Federal Minister for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja attended the signing ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf said the new system will make the Hajj process more transparent and accessible for pilgrims.

He added that digitalization will reduce delays and human errors while helping Pakistan meet international standards set for Hajj management.
Shaza Fatima said a complete end-to-end digital system will be introduced for Hajj 2026. She shared that a simple and user-friendly online Hajj portal will be launched to facilitate applicants.
According to officials, the portal will improve communication between all stakeholders and ensure that deadlines set by Government of Saudi Arabia are strictly followed.
