The Sindh government has taken major steps for the improvement and rehabilitation of three major highways in Karachi.
The release of Rs. 893.5 million for the three projects has been okayed by the provincial government.
Rs. 551 million has been approved for the improvement of Shaheed Millat Expressway while Rs. 275.7 million has been approved for the improvement and rehabilitation of Mewa Shah Cemetery in Karachi Arab District.
In addition, Rs. 66.1 million has been sanctioned for the improvement and rehabilitation of II Chandragar Road from MA Jinnah Road.
It should be noted that the Sindh government has handed over the task of work on three major highways to KMC.
In this regard, Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab has confirmed that the Sindh government has given approval to KMC for the improvement and rehabilitation of three major highways.
