The Government of Sindh has officially announced new school timings for the holy month of Ramadan 2026.
The notification was issued by the School Education & Literacy Department, according to which, the revised schedule will apply to all public and private educational institutions.
The decision aims to facilitate students, teachers, and staff during the fasting month.

Ramadan Timings for Primary Schools in Sindh
For primary schools, the following timings have been set:
- Single Shift: 8:00 am to 12:30 pm
- First Shift (Double Shift): 7:30 am to 11:30 am
- Second Shift (Double Shift): 11:45 am to 2:45 pm
On Fridays, the schedule will be slightly shorter:
- Single Shift: 8:00 am to 11:30 am
- First Shift (Double Shift): 7:30 am to 10:30 am
- Second Shift (Double Shift): 11:45 am to 1:15 pm

Ramadan Timings for Secondary, Higher Secondary and Elementary Schools in Sindh
For secondary, higher secondary, and elementary schools, the same Ramadan timings will be followed:
- Single Shift: 8:00 am to 12:30 pm
- First Shift (Double Shift): 7:30 am to 11:30 am
- Second Shift (Double Shift): 11:45 am to 2:45 pm
On Fridays, the adjusted timings are:
- Single Shift: 8:00 am to 11:30 am
- First Shift (Double Shift): 7:30 am to 10:30 am
- Second Shift (Double Shift): 11:45 am to 1:15 pm
Officials said the revised school schedule is designed to reduce academic hours while maintaining instructional continuity during Ramadan.
The department has directed all concerned authorities to ensure proper implementation of the new timings across Sindh.

A copy of the notification has been forwarded to key government offices, including the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, relevant education directors, and monitoring departments, for immediate action and public awareness.
Parents and school administrations are advised to follow the official schedule strictly. Any further changes, if required, will be communicated through formal notifications.
The Ramadan school timings will remain effective throughout the holy month and are expected to help students manage both academic responsibilities and religious observances comfortably.
