Mayor of Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, has directed KMC officials to prepare a rehabilitation plan for Gul Plaza victims.

The decision comes as authorities work to support shopkeepers and families affected by the tragic Gul Plaza incident.

In a press briefing, Mayor Murtaza Wahab announced that shopkeepers will receive relief before the reconstruction of Gul Plaza begins.

He revealed that during Ramadan, the city administration plans to provide 1,200 temporary stalls to affected traders free of charge, allowing them to continue their businesses during the busy season.

The Mayor instructed authorities to allow the setting up of stalls at the Polo Ground in the Red Zone, providing an accessible and safe location for the victims to operate their shops temporarily.

He also directed KMC officers to coordinate closely with Gul Plaza shopkeepers and administration to ensure smooth implementation of the rehabilitation plan.

Mayor Murtaza Wahab emphasized that the Pakistan People’s Party, Sindh government, and KMC are fully standing with Gul Plaza victims, expressing solidarity and support during this difficult time.
