The uncertainty around Pakistan’s T20 World Cup participation emerged after the ICC recently decided to replace Bangladesh with Scotland in the tournament.
The move followed Bangladesh’s refusal to travel to India, citing concerns, which later led to a dispute between the Bangladesh Cricket Board and the ICC.

Bangladesh’s stance came after Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders released Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman from their squad on the instructions of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
Despite talks between the parties, no agreement was reached, prompting the ICC to reject Bangladesh’s request to alter the schedule.
Amid the developments, reports suggested that Pakistan could also consider withdrawing from the tournament in solidarity if Bangladesh opted out.
However, the PCB has maintained that no decision will be taken without consulting the federal government.
