Families of those missing in the deadly Gul Plaza fire tragedy in Karachi are passing through unbearable pain, clinging to hope that their loved ones may still be found alive.

After the devastating fire engulfed Gul Plaza on MA Jinnah Road, the surrounding area has turned into a picture of sorrow and destruction.

Burnt debris, damaged structures, and rescue machinery now stand as silent witnesses to the tragedy, while families gather nearby with tearful eyes and trembling hands awaiting for a miracle to happen.

Relatives of the missing are living moments of extreme anxiety. Fathers wait endlessly for their sons to return, sons look towards rescue teams hoping to see their fathers emerge, and mothers whisper the names of their children in prayers. Brothers and sisters stand together, united by fear, hope, and helplessness.

The emotional trauma is visible on every face. Many families have spent nights near the site, refusing to leave until there is clarity about their loved ones. People are seen raising their hands in prayer, hoping for a miracle amid the ruins.

Rescue operations are still underway as teams continue clearing the rubble in search of the missing. Officials confirmed that among those unaccounted for are 60-year-old Ramazan and 27-year-old Shiraz, whose families are desperately waiting for positive news.

Police Surgeon Dr Samia said that several bodies recovered from the debris are in such a condition that they cannot be identified through visual means.

She confirmed that DNA testing will be carried out to establish identities. Families of missing persons have been asked to provide blood samples at hospitals, which will be sent to the University of Karachi laboratory for forensic analysis.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi stated that a total of 75 individuals have been affected by the Gul Plaza fire incident. So far, 26 bodies have been recovered, out of which 13 have been identified, while the remaining bodies will be identified after DNA test reports are completed.
