Karachi police have opened a major investigation after four bodies, including two women, a man, and a child, were discovered in a manhole near the Mai Kolachi area.
South Zone Deputy Inspector General Asad Raza said the remains appeared to be between 10 and 15 days old.

The bodies were moved to a hospital for post-mortem examinations and medico-legal procedures to determine the exact cause and time of death.
Officers involved in the inquiry noted that the victims showed signs of torture, with visible injuries and bloodstains found inside the manhole, suggesting that the killings may have occurred elsewhere before the bodies were dumped at the site.
Efforts to identify the victims are underway, but SSP Keamari pointed out that the badly mutilated condition of the bodies is making the process challenging.

The shocking discovery has drawn immediate attention from provincial authorities.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah directed the police and other agencies to investigate the case thoroughly and bring the perpetrators to justice.
He emphasized that protecting citizens’ lives and property is the state’s top responsibility.

Meanwhile, the Sindh Minister has requested a detailed report from SSP Keamari, instructing officials to determine the motive behind the killings and ensure that those responsible are arrested and prosecuted promptly.
