Top Pakistani artists Ali Azmat and Hadiqa Kiani are set to headline the star-studded opening ceremony of the National Games at the National Bank Stadium on Saturday.
The confirmation came from Sindh Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar, who visited the venue to review the final arrangements.
He was accompanied by Olympian Arshad Nadeem and Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar.

During the visit, officials briefed the minister on preparations inside and outside the stadium.
Mahar assured the public that everything is ready for the big event.
“The preparations for the opening ceremony are complete,” Mahar said, adding that “foolproof security arrangements have been put in place” around the stadium.

According to Geo Super, he also mentioned that Bilawal Bhutto is expected to attend the ceremony, saying strict security measures have been made for his arrival.
Mahar urged citizens to join the celebrations, highlighting that the evening will include a family-friendly musical show featuring performances from Kiani and Azmat.
“I invite fans to come to the stadium and enjoy the ceremony. At concert, Ali Azmat and Hadiqa Kiani will perform,” he stated.
The minister further shared that efforts are underway to have national heroes light the torch, though the final call will be made by the Pakistan Olympic Association.

Meanwhile, Arshad Nadeem expressed his excitement while speaking to the media.
He said hosting the National Games is a proud moment for Karachi and the entire province.
“It is a great honour for the city to host the National Games. Sindh has received hosting rights after 18 years, which is wonderful to see. I hope events of this scale continue to take place in Pakistan,” the Olympian said.
