Commissioner Karachi on Thursday imposed Section 144 over bating at the beach in light of Cyclone Gulab hitting the city’s coastline soon. The ban has been placed to keep any untoward incident from happening during high tide.
The ban will remain in place until October 5 and the Deputy Commissioner has been told to ensure that citizens do not violate the ban.
The commissioner also issued a personal appeal to the citizens to not visit the beach during these critical days.
The Met Department has issued a warning regarding torrental rains hitting Karachi due to Cyclone Gulab.
