Soon after 40 buses for the Green Line BRT project arrived in Karachi after years of wait, the Sindh government has announced a provincially-funded transport project which will bring 50 new busses to the city.
Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla made this announcement on Monday while responding to a query from Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Shaikh at the session.
Shaikh pointed out that the Sindh chief minister and transport minister have repeatedly claimed that buses will be bought for Karachi but no concrete action has been taken in this regard.
