Karachi is ready to host International Masters Cricket (IMC) Over-40s T20 Cricket World Cup 2025, as teams from Australia, West Indies, Canada, Hong Kong, South Africa, Zimbabwe and several other nations have already arrived for the event.
In preparation for the tournament, three practice matches were held yesterday, giving players a chance to adjust to local conditions.
In the warm-up game between Pakistan and Australia, the hosts successfully chased 157 to defeat Australia by six wickets at National Bank Stadium Karachi.

Nadeem Javaid led the chase with a brisk 54 off 36 balls, supported by Humayun Farhat’s valuable 32.
Earlier, Sohail Khan (2/23) and Atif Maqbool (2/38) delivered the key bowling spells that helped restrict Australia.

Six more practice games are scheduled for today, November 20, across the designated venues.
Tournament Schedule
The tournament will officially open on 21 November with a ceremony at the Governor House in Karachi, where teams, officials and invited guests will be present.
The first round of matches will begin on 22 November.

A total of 42 matches will be played across five venues: National Bank Stadium, Southend Club Cricket Stadium, Karachi Gymkhana Cricket Ground, NBP Sports Complex and DHA Sports Club (Moin Khan Academy).

Each day will feature six round-matches, with two matches at every venue.
Morning games will start at 9:00 am, while afternoon fixtures will begin at 1:30 pm.
Where to Watch
Pakistan will play all of its matches at National Bank Stadium, and these fixtures will be broadcast live on Geo Super.
Matches at the remaining venues will be streamed on myco and the PVCA YouTube channel.

Earlier, the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association announced an 18-member Pakistan squad for the event.

Former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq will lead the side, with Fawad Alam serving as vice-captain and Shahid Afridi adding major star power.
The squad also includes seasoned players such as Zulfiqar Babar, Sohail Khan, Tabish Khan and Humayun Farhat.
The team will work under a strong management group, featuring Javed Miandad as mentor, Jalal Uddin as head coach and Azam Khan as team manager, as Pakistan aims for a successful campaign in the inaugural Over-40s World Cup.
