Schon Circle of Karachi to be revamped, says District South

District South of Karachi is determined to beautify and revamp Schon Circle situated near the KPT underpass near Clifton.

Greenbelt triangles to be built across four different locations, says the engineering and parks departments of the District Municipal Corporation (DMC) South.

It is pertinent to mention that the proposed picture for the project does not match with the area of Clifton or any other in Karachi.

Muhammad Ahmer, the deputy director of DMC Parks Department while sharing the details said, “four triangles at Schon Circle will be beautified; the administration will plant tree saplings, install fancy lights, paver blocks, and monuments there.”

The pilot project would take six months to be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 8 million.

There will be four triangles set on both sides of the KPT underpass near Agha’s Supermarket and Saylani roundabout and an architect has been hired to design these tasks, said Ahmed.

They will not only expand the greenbelt triangles but will also beautify them, he added while assuring that the flow of traffic will not be affected.

Moreover, talking about other pilot projects, the deputy direct DMC South added that the department is also working on the beautification of the greenbelt near Benazir Bhutto Park, Boat Basin.
