Former Pakistan captain and legendary all-rounder Shahid Afridi is set to make a return to the field as he prepares to represent Pakistan in the International Masters Cricket (IMC) Over-40s T20 Cricket World Cup 2025, scheduled in Karachi from November 21 to December 1.
The Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA) officially confirmed Afridi’s participation through a statement on Wednesday.
“The legendary all-rounder Shahid Afridi is all set to don the Pakistan jersey once again, this time for the IMC Over‑40s T20 Cricket World Cup 2025,” the PVCA announced.

Afridi, known for his explosive batting and sharp leg-spin, remains one of the most recognizable names in world cricket.
His presence is expected to bring immense excitement and star value to the veterans’ event.

During his international career, Afridi represented Pakistan in more than 500 matches, amassing 11,196 runs and claiming 541 wickets across all formats.
His fearless approach and charismatic personality made him a fan favorite throughout his career.
The Pakistan Over-40s side will be led by former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, with batting great Javed Miandad serving as team mentor.
Together, they form a powerful combination of experience and cricketing wisdom.

The IMC Over-40s T20 World Cup 2025 will feature 12 international teams, with a total of 42 matches set to take place across various venues in Karachi.
