Chairman Gulberg Town Nusratullah recently inaugurated Samanabad’s Primary Health Care Unit, providing residents with affordable health services at a nominal fee of Rs 50.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ameer of JI Pakistan Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Maanam Zafar Khan, Vice Chairman Muhammad Ilyas, Municipal Commissioner Abdul Hameed Sahag, as well as several elected representatives from Gulberg Town.

A large turnout of citizens, including UC chairs and vice chairs, councilors and women councilors, as well as community members, participated in this important healthcare facility’s inaugural event.

Chairman Nusratullah announced that two specialist doctors will be on duty each morning from 9 AM till 2 PM and evening from 6 PM till 10 PM, to provide residents of Karachi with immediate access to medical consultation and treatment.

He noted that essential diagnostic services, such as ultrasound, ECG, sugar testing, OPD, and blood pressure monitoring, would now be offered at significantly discounted rates when compared with private healthcare centers.

The Chairman noted that services typically costing thousands of rupees are now accessible at lower costs, making healthcare accessible and alleviating financial pressures on low-income families.

At the health unit, a fully computerized system has been implemented that facilitates efficient management of patient slips, digital records, and all clinical data to facilitate transparent service provision and increase transparency for service provision.

Officials noted the value of early diagnosis to reduce hospital loads, and Samanabad Primary Health Center has been established specifically to offer prompt care in their community.

During the ceremony, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman stressed how integral community service was to Jamaat-e-Islami, as they work towards solving public issues through practical actions.

Chairman Nusratullah highlighted Gulberg Town’s performance as being exceptional within Karachi, showing their dedication to development despite limited administrative control over water and sewage systems.

He noted that development works worth Rs 200 million have been completed to address public challenges, noting that the Sewerage Corporation was failing to fulfill its responsibilities, prompting local initiatives wherever possible.

Gulberg Town will continue its mission of public service under Jamaat-e-Islami leadership, providing improved facilities and maintaining community welfare.
