Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has increased the fares up to 114% ahead of Eid ul Azha. The recent hike in fares will charge passengers double the amount of current fares.
According to the sources, PIA which is currently charging a fare amount of Rs 7000 for Karachi to Islamabad or Lahore, would charge double of the amount.
The recent hike is also followed by the private airlines in the country that will be charging more than of their current fares.
One side ticket will cost passengers a fare of Rs 13,000 in travelling between Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore while it will be upto 25,000 with return ticket.
Passengers will face difficulty in going back to their homes for Eid ul Azha, as the ongoing inflation in the country is already not doing any just to the citizens
