Inspector General of Police Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon has announced that citizens can request cancellation of a wrong e-challan after verification at any designated e-challan waiver verification center.

He stated that no individual would face penalties for a violation they did not commit, stressing that fairness, accuracy, and transparency remain central to the newly launched faceless e-ticketing system across Karachi.

According to the IGP, citizens experiencing errors, mismatched number plates, or incorrect entries can visit their nearest convenience center, where trained officials will verify details and waive incorrect tickets immediately.

He noted that efforts are currently being undertaken to use the digital system to recover stolen motorcycles and track criminals involved in vehicle-related offenses, thus increasing overall policing efficiency within the province.

Did you get an e-challan and believe it was issued by mistake, you can officially challenge the decision through the city’s traffic facilitation centers, according to Karachi Traffic Police officials.

Since the introduction of the automated traffic monitoring system, high-tech cameras have begun detecting violations and issuing electronic challans to violators across Karachi.

However, the authorities do acknowledge that from time to time, technical glitches or incorrect readings due to number plate detection errors or camera faults may arise.

Karachi Traffic Police has established 11 facilitation centers throughout the city to allow motorists to lodge complaints or request a review of e-challans issued against them.
