Earlier, PCB officially announced Shan Masood’s appointment, stating that he will take charge of international cricket planning and player-related affairs.
However, the board has not yet clarified whether Shan will continue as Pakistan’s Test captain alongside his new assignment.
According to Geo Super, the post comes after the resignation of Usman Wahla, who previously handled international cricket operations.
Under the new structure, Shan will oversee tasks such as planning international tours, preparing MOUs, handling ICC matters, managing logistics, and coordinating schedules for Pakistan’s national, Shaheens, U-19, U-16, and emerging teams.
Shan Masood has played 44 Tests, 9 ODIs, and 19 T20Is since his debut against South Africa in 2013.
As captain, he has led Pakistan in 14 international matches, winning four and losing 10.
His most recent Test series as captain ended in a 1-1 draw against South Africa.
