The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced the results of the Central Superior Services (CSS) competitive examination for recruitment to Grade 17 posts in federal departments.
According to the official results, only 2.48 percent of the candidates have passed the highly competitive examination, marking one of the lowest success rates in recent years.
A total of 15,602 candidates from across Pakistan appeared in the CSS written examination, out of which only 397 qualified for the next stage, the oral assessment.
Following the oral examination, 10 candidates were declared unsuccessful, bringing the final number of successful candidates to 387, including 207 men and 180 women.
Out of the total passing candidates, the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has recommended 229 individuals – 119 men and 110 women – for appointment to Grade 17 positions.
The CSS examination serves as a key gateway for recruitment to Pakistan’s elite bureaucracy, selecting candidates for various prestigious civil services under federal administration.
Successful candidates are appointed in 12 major departments, including the Pakistan Administrative Service, Pakistan Customs, Foreign Service of Pakistan, and the Police Service of Pakistan.
