The Pakistan Pavilion was inaugurated, with over 100 Pakistani tech firms at GITEX Global 2025, marking a major milestone in Pakistan’s growing role as a global technology and innovation destination.
The ceremony was led by Federal Minister for IT and Telecom Shaza Fatima Khawaja, joined by senior officials including Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, and H.E. Hussain Muhammad, Pakistan’s Consul General in Dubai.
Other dignitaries included Mr. Rafique Ahmed Buriro, Additional Secretary and CEO of Ignite, Brigadier Syed Nadir Hussain Shah from SIFC, Mr. Abu Bakar, CEO of PSEB, Mr. Faisal Ratyal, CEO of NITB, and Mr. Syed Sajjad, Chairman of P@SHA.
The Pakistan Tech Destination Pavilion serves as a central hub for B2B networking, investment opportunities, start-up showcases, and partnership announcements, promoting Pakistan’s technological potential to the global market.
Visitors at the pavilion can witness live product demos, cutting-edge tech innovations, and interactive business matchmaking sessions that strengthen Pakistan’s standing in international technology trade.
Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja highlighted Pakistan’s digital vision, stating that “our presence at GITEX reflects confidence, capability, and our commitment to a digitally empowered future under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.”
She emphasized that with a young, skilled workforce and rapidly expanding IT exports, Pakistan is ready to play a central role in shaping the global technology economy.
The Ministry of IT & Telecom has facilitated the participation of 10 emerging Pakistani start-ups at GITEX to showcase entrepreneurial talent, attract investors, and boost international partnerships.
Following Pakistan’s recognition as the “Tech Destination of the Year” at GITEX Global 2024, this year’s event features over 100 leading Pakistani tech firms and 1,000 delegates, underscoring Pakistan’s expanding global footprint.
