Karachi traffic police have issued a detailed plan for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal traffic diversions, ahead of processions scheduled across the city on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
As per the announcement, officials directed all SSPs to personally supervise arrangements in their districts to ensure smooth traffic flow; meanwhile, the citizens of Karachi have been urged to follow diversions and avoid restricted routes.
12 Rabi-ul-Awwal procession timings Karachi:
On the occasion of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, two main processions are scheduled in the metropolis. The first, led by Maulana Akbar Dars, will leave at 2:30 pm from Memon Mosque and conclude at Aram Bagh Mosque.
The second and larger procession, led by Maulana Shah Abdul Haq Qadri, will depart after 3 pm and will end at Nishtar Park, covering major city routes in the afternoon.
Traffic diversion plan for Karachi:
The traffic police, for the ease of the public, announced diversion routes for individuals planning to travel through the procession routes.
District Central:
Traffic from Nazimabad can use Lasbela Chowk towards Nishtar Road via Garden; meanwhile, Liaquatabad commuters can reach Central Jail via Teen Hatti and Lasbela Chowk.

Those traveling from Hassan Square to PPP Chowrangi may use Kashmir Road via Society Light Signal or take the Jail Chorangi Flyover from Teen Hatti to Nishtar Road.
District East:
Vehicles coming from Shahrah-e-Faisal to Shahrah-e-Quaideen can turn right at the Society Light Signal to reach Kashmir Road.
Traffic from Central Jail Gate towards Guru Mandir can move via Soldier Bazaar to Bahadur Yar Jang Road, bypassing the main procession route.
District South:
Commuters from Garden Zoo to MA Jinnah Road can divert via Uncle Saria, Gul Plaza, or Coast Guard Hospital, while the traffic from Lucky Star will be diverted via Saddar Dawakhana to PPP Chowrangi.
Traffic bound for Burns Road will be diverted from Abdullah Haroon Road to MR Kiani Chowk, while others from Aram Bagh Light Signal will be redirected to Pakistan Chowk.
Officials confirmed traffic will not be allowed from Guru Mandir to Numaish, nor from MR Kiani Chowk to Court Road; however, parking is also strictly prohibited on procession routes.
All heavy and commercial vehicles will remain banned across Karachi on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. Entry to MA Jinnah Road will only be allowed for procession vehicles with official stickers.
