The scholarship, funded by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC), are planned to support higher education by giving a chance of postgraduate study in the UK.

According to HEC Portal the deadline to apply for the scholarship is October 14, 2025, at 4:00 PM (PST).

- 30 for PhD programs
Eligibility:
- A permanent resident of Pakistan or Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJ&K)
- Obtained first division in the terminal degree

Education Requirements for Commonwealth Scholarship 2025
For Masters:
- 16 years of education in relevant field
For PhD:
- 17 or 18 years of education (MS/MPhil)
What are the Test Requirements for Commonwealth Scholarship 2025?
A valid HAT test score of 60 out of 100 or above is mandatory for eligibility, with only HAT General categories I–IV being considered. Merit ranking will be determined solely based on the HAT scores.
Conditions of Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC)
Applicants must also meet the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) criteria, which include the ability to begin studies in the UK by September 2026 and the submission of complete academic transcripts and at least two references.
PhD applicants are required to provide a supporting statement from a UK supervisor.
Scholarships will not normally fund a second Master’s degree unless a valid justification is provided.
Additionally, applicants must demonstrate financial need, meaning they would be unable to study in the UK without scholarship support.
