Sindh provincial Culture Department has officially registered Sindhi Ajrak, Sindhi Topi, Hyderabadi Bangles, and Hala Jandi (wooden lacquer work) as cultural products of Sindh.

The registration, done in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Organization (IPO) under the Ministry of Commerce, Islamabad.

The decision aimed to safeguard these traditional items as authentic symbols of Sindh’s cultural identity.

Officials said the milestone ensures these products receive proper recognition and protection against unauthorized reproduction, both nationally and internationally, preserving the province’s centuries-old craftsmanship.

Sindhi Ajrak and Sindhi Topi, long considered cultural emblems, symbolize the history, artistry, and pride of the Sindhi people, while Hyderabadi Bangles and Hala Jandi highlight the province’s vibrant and diverse handicraft traditions.
