A spokesperson for the Water Corporation has confirmed that electricity supply at the Dhabeji Pumping Station has been fully restored.
In an official statement, the spokesperson said K-Electric successfully completed scheduled maintenance at the Dhabeji substation and grid station.
Following the completion, power was restored to all feeders of the Dhabeji Pumping Station, and water supply to the city has resumed as normal.
The scheduled shutdown was requested by the Deputy General Manager of K-Electric’s Grid System Operations.

Additionally, the repair work on the damaged line of the Hub Rising Main has also been completed. As a result, water supply from the Hub Pumping Station to Karachi has been fully restored.
The spokesperson mentioned that the repair work faced slight delays. The reason was the extra effort made to ensure long-term durability and strength of the line. To prevent future technical issues, four additional collars were installed to reinforce the pipeline’s performance over the long term.
He further noted that the dewatering process caused some hindrance during the repair phase. Despite these challenges, the repair work was completed successfully.
