A horrifying case of domestic violence has surfaced in Karachi, where the husband has confessed to abusing his newlywed wife.
Appearing before Judicial Magistrate South, the man, identified as Ashok, admitted to committing unnatural acts and violent assault.
The court recorded his statement under Section 164, while the authorities are considering adding Section 302 for murder to the case as well.
After the confession, the magistrate ordered his judicial remand, sending him to jail.
Investigators revealed that the victim was hospitalized in a coma for 20 days. She later died during treatment.
Detectives disclosed disturbing details, stating that Ashok’s brutal violence led to fatal internal injuries to his wife.
Police said they were preparing to record the victim’s statement in court before her death. The FIR was registered at Baghdadi Police Station.
The victim, identified as Shanti, daughter of Chhango, was a resident of the Baghdadi area in Lyari. She had been married for just over two weeks when the assault took place.
According to police, the brother of the deceased girl filed a complaint, leading to the registration of an FIR on July 5. The accused, Ashok – son of Mohan, was arrested shortly after the report.
