Amid recent rainfall, the Murree City Traffic Police have issued a special traffic advisory for tourists and residents visiting the popular hill station.
The step is aimed at ensuring smooth and safe traffic flow during the ongoing wet weather conditions.
Chief Traffic Officer Waseem Akhtar instructed all traffic staff to remain alert and proactive in the field. He emphasized continuous presence of sector in-charges and DSPs to manage vehicle movement and prevent road blockages during heavy rains.
The CTO advised the public to carry umbrellas and wear raincoats, and stay in contact with emergency services in case of any untoward incident. He also warned locals to keep children away from storm drains and electric poles, which pose serious risks in rain.
Drivers were urged to slow down, use headlights and windshield wipers, and maintain a safe distance to avoid accidents. Special caution for pedestrians was highlighted, especially in areas prone to flooding or landslides.
CTO Akhtar assured that maximum traffic personnel and resources are being deployed across Murree to ensure public safety and uninterrupted traffic movement throughout the rainy period.
