Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced that Shahrah-e-Bhutto will connect to the motorway by December 2025.
The high-speed road has now been opened up to Quaidabad.
Chairing a meeting on the project, He said Shahrah-e-Bhutto is a 39-kilometer, 3-lane dual carriageway linking DHA and Korangi with Hyderabad. It includes six interchanges connecting industrial and residential areas.
Officials briefed the CM that the Korangi Causeway to Quaidabad section is 99% complete, while the Quaidabad to Kathor stretch is 65% done. Interchange progress includes Jam Sadiq at 73%, EBM and Shah Faisal fully complete, Quaidabad at 99%, and Memon Goth at 28%, and Damloti at 20%.
Work on a four-kilometer elevated section at Samu Goth is 48% finished. The Korangi Causeway Bridge is 80% done and will replace the old causeway once completed.
CM ordered swift completion of the bridge and confirmed that traffic will be allowed up to Kathor by December. He also emphasized that all development projects must follow their timelines.
The CM further directed that the New Link Road be opened on July 25. The 21-kilometer road will link to the motorway and serve as a major route, The old route will be closed after the new road opens.
