Intermittent rain, drizzle expected across Karachi: PMD

Karachi weather

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted cloudy skies, high humidity, and on‑and‑off drizzle as weak monsoon currents brush Karachi.

As per the PMD released data, the morning humidity could reach eighty percent before midday, while evening moisture is expected near sixty‑five percent, forecasters noted, urging residents to hydrate and limit strenuous outdoor chores.

The temperature will likely hover between 33°C and 35°C during the day, with a minimum of 28°C to 30°C at night. A southwesterly breeze is expected to continue, offering limited relief from the sticky conditions.

The Met Department stated that while Karachi might see scattered drizzle, heavier showers are more likely in other districts.

“The monsoon’s weak penetration in Karachi means only scattered drizzle is expected, but humidity will remain elevated. Coastal winds may provide slight relief,” said a weather official.

Meanwhile, heavier thunderstorms with moderate rainfall are forecast for Tharparkar district, while lighter showers may dampen Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Jamshoro, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar and interior districts.

Citizens are advised to stay hydrated and cautious. High humidity may cause discomfort, and roads could become slippery after even minor showers.
