The price of gold has dropped sharply in the local market, becoming cheaper by Rs 2,245 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.
According to the Gems and Jewellers Association, the new price of gold per tola stands at Rs 359,055, while the price of 10 grams has fallen by Rs 1,925 to Rs 307,831.
In the global bullion market, the price of gold per ounce declined by $20, bringing it down to Rs 3,378 per ounce.

Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola also saw a decrease and is now recorded at Rs 3,378.
The decline in gold prices reflects a shift in global trends, impacted by factors such as dollar movement, interest rates, and investor activity in international markets.
Experts suggest that local buyers may find this drop an opportunity, especially ahead of the upcoming wedding season and Eid shopping.
