The Government of Balochistan has approved advertisements for vacant government positions from Grade 1 to 15, aiming to improve job opportunities across the province.
Chaired by Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, the meeting was held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and focused on national and provincial matters.
One key move was to release current wheat stocks into the open market to ensure food supply stability. However, the government decided not to purchase more wheat for now to protect existing reserves.
Another major step included allocating Rs 140 million to complete the Quetta Safe City Project by June.
The cabinet also condemned India’s recent accusations after the Pahalgam incident. Ministers criticized India’s aggressive behavior despite Pakistan’s call for transparent investigations, warning that such actions risk regional peace.
The cabinet expressed sorrow over the loss of lives in the Nushki incident and praised emergency teams for quick relief efforts. It ordered a full investigation and pledged to take strong action against smuggling across the province.
To protect overseas Pakistanis’ property, a special court will be set up. Other decisions include amendments to the Anti-Terrorism Act and the creation of a Center of Excellence for Countering Extremism.
The cabinet also approved several reforms to benefit civil servants, including improved employee benefit policies. For environmental safety, the government endorsed a new Ship Recycling Law and other protective regulations.
Efforts to eliminate bonded labor and improve rights for persons with disabilities were also part of the reform package. These decisions reflect Balochistan’s commitment to development, security, and human rights.
