WATCH: Man miraculously survives gun attack in Karachi

A man survived a targeted gun attack near Nishtar Park in Karachi’s Soldier Bazaar late at night, as confirmed by local police on Thursday.

The CCTV footage of the incident shows armed motorcyclists opening fire on a moving vehicle.

The driver, identified as Manahil, an employee at NICVD Karachi, attempted to escape by speeding away. However, the assailants chased him and fired again when his car collided with another vehicle at a turn.

The 30-year-old victim was rushed to the hospital, where doctors confirmed that he is in stable condition.

The police suspected that the incident was a targeted attack and have launched an investigation into the case.

Authorities believe the clear footage of the suspects’ faces may help identify them.

This incident highlights the growing gun violence crisis in Karachi.

Between January 1 and 28, 2025, at least 42 people, including five women, were killed in shooting incidents across the city. Additionally, 233 people sustained injuries.

Most shootings occurred during robbery attempts, while others resulted from stray bullets and aerial firing. Police have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to help curb crime.
