The National Telecom and Information Technology Security Board (NTISB) has issued a crucial advisory, alerting users of virtual private networks (VPNs) and artificial intelligence (AI) tools about the growing threat of cyber-attacks.
According to the advisory, hackers are increasingly using sophisticated methods, including fake techniques and suspicious code, to breach systems and steal personal information.
These cyber-attacks often target social media platforms and banking websites, where users’ sensitive data can be compromised.
The NTISB highlighted concerns that such attacks could become more prevalent, exploiting vulnerabilities in the digital landscape.
In response, the board has recommended that users temporarily avoid 16 specific applications, urging them to switch to more secure alternatives.
The advisory stresses the importance of using trusted applications and websites to ensure protection from potential cyber threats.
