China has announced a scholarship programme for 2025-26 for Pakistani and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) students, enabling them to pursue undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies in top Chinese universities.
According to the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the application deadline is Monday, December 9, 2024, by 4:00 PM PST, while the applicants holding dual nationality are not eligible to apply.
Eligible candidates for the Chinese Government Scholarship Program must possess a valid HAT (obtained on or after December 9, 2022) or USAT score (obtained on or after December 9, 2023), with a minimum score of 50 out of 100. They must submit a valid score on the HEC portal during application submission for consideration.
Applications must be submitted online through the China Scholarship Council (CSC) portal under Category A (Agency No. 5861) at Campuschina.org or https://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua and via HEC’s portal at scholarship.hec.gov.pk.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, and a stipend.

Applicants for the Undergraduate/Bachelors program must have completed an intermediate (12 years) of education and be under the age of 25 at the time of application.
Applicants for the Masters program must have a bachelor’s degree (16 years) and be under the age of 35 at the time of application.
Eligibility criteria include age and academic qualifications: under 25 for undergraduate, under 35 for master’s, and under 40 for PhD applicants.
