Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to resume flight operations to Europe within two weeks following the European Air Safety Agency’s (EASA) decision to lift its ban on the national carrier.

Sources confirm that PIA will deploy Boeing 777 aircraft for European routes, with preparations underway to restart flights to the United Kingdom (UK).

Officials are optimistic that the UK will lift its restrictions on PIA operations in the coming days.

The announcement of EASA’s decision was confirmed by the Director General of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), Nadir Shafi Dar.

He credited the achievement to the collective efforts of the Prime Minister, Aviation Minister, and Aviation Secretary.
