Persistent internet disruptions have severely affected daily life and livelihoods in Karachi over the past three days, leaving citizens grappling with communication breakdowns.
These outages, linked to political protests by PTI supporters en route to Islamabad, have compounded frustrations among students, professionals, and small online business owners, meanwhile, online cab services, a lifeline for many in the city lacking enough public transportation, have been hit hard.
During an interview with a private media channel, a Karachi entrepreneur shared that disrupted logistics have stalled operations, while another business owner revealed losses exceeding Rs 100,000 due to internet disruption.

Veteran journalist Zarrar Khuhro criticized the uncertainty, stating that, “Economies depend on constants, not variables. This growing instability fuels public frustration and damages the economy.”
The outages underline the urgent need for infrastructure resilience, as digital connectivity is integral to Pakistan’s urban economy and daily life.
