The government of Balochistan has introduced a transformative scholarship program, offering 100% scholarships to male and female students across the province.
This announcement was made by the Chief Minister, Sarfraz Bagti, during a ceremony in Quetta, where he emphasized his administration’s focus on advancing educational opportunities for the youth in Balochistan.
Chief Minister Bagti stated that, upon taking office, his primary goal was to promote education to help the younger generation achieve their ambitions.
This new initiative provides that any young person from Balochistan, regardless of financial background, can now access higher education with full financial support.
Additionally, the top ten students from each district will receive scholarships to study at an institution of their choice, ensuring broad access across the province.
The program extends its support to the families affected by terrorism, with children of martyrs entitled to free education up to 16 years of age.
Bagti reiterated the government’s commitment to aiding these families, recognizing their sacrifices.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the provincial government is also working on skill development programs to enhance employability and support the region’s economic growth.
