Residents and business owners in Karachi are grappling with significant disruptions due to an unexpected gas outage across multiple areas.
According to the details, the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) halted the gas supply in response to a gas leakage incident in Surjani, impacting several areas of Karachi.
Areas affected by the outage include Surjani Town, Manghopir, Qasba, Orangi Town, Baldia Town, Gulshan-e-Maymar, SITE, Super Highway, North Karachi, Sadar, and surrounding areas of the metropolis.
An SSGC spokesperson stated that teams are actively working to replace gas pipes and repair the leakage, with an estimated restoration time of 8:00 pm [Sunday – Nov 03].
The spokesperson extended apologies to customers for the inconvenience and assured them that efforts are underway to resolve the issue as quick as possible.
