Shoaib Akhtar acknowledges kindness of Karachi residents

Former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar expressed his appreciation for the people of Karachi, especially the migrants, during a podcast interview. He mentioned that the residents of Karachi, including migrants, have been very kind to him.

Comparing the roads of Karachi to those of New York, Akhtar stated that although the condition of Karachi’s roads is not ideal, it is still not suitable for any city or country.

Akhtar further praised the people of Karachi, highlighting that many of his good friends are from the city. He reminisced about the time he spent in Karachi and the support he received from its residents. In 1992, during difficult times in Karachi, Akhtar recalled traveling with his friends on bikes, buses, and other modes of transportation. He mentioned staying at a friend’s house in Nazimabad 10, where the boys would accompany him and ensure his safety.

Expressing his commitment to Karachi, Akhtar stated that if he ever had the opportunity to contribute something meaningful to the city, he would gladly do so, as Karachi holds a special place in his heart.

Akhtar also emphasized the importance of knowing how to communicate effectively, particularly in a city like Karachi. He acknowledged that when he was taught how to communicate effectively, he learned it immediately, recognizing its significance for someone living in Karachi.
