In a crucial development ahead of the elections, Karachi witnessed an influx of nomination papers, with various political entities and independent candidates submitting their credentials for 22 National Assembly seats and 47 Sindh Assembly seats. The scrutiny process unfolded with intensity, resulting in 696 National Assembly candidates having their papers accepted, while 113 faced rejection. Similarly, for the Sindh Assembly, 1858 nomination papers secured approval, while 187 were rejected.
