Japanese embassy in Pakistan announces MEXT teachers training scholarship 2024 for educators

The Embassy of Japan in Pakistan has introduced the MEXT Teachers Training Scholarship 2024, aiming to provide an opportunity for primary and secondary school educators in Pakistan. The official announcement, made on Saturday, revealed that the scholarship is open to educators with at least five years of experience in public or private institutions.

According to the criteria outlined, teachers aged 35 or younger are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The program is structured as an 18-month non-degree training course, with recipients receiving a certificate upon the completion of the required training at a Japanese university.

The training course is specifically designed for primary and secondary school educators and is not intended for individuals seeking to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree programs. Its primary goal is to offer Pakistani teachers an invaluable opportunity to conduct research on school education in Japan. Participants will have the chance to learn new methodologies and teaching techniques from Japanese experts, enhancing their professional growth.

The Japanese Government, through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT), is facilitating this scholarship program. The initiative is part of the broader MEXT Scholarship program, which annually extends scholarships to international teachers keen on conducting research on school education at designated educational institutions in Japan.

Interested candidates have until February 9, 2024, to submit their applications. This scholarship aligns with Japan’s commitment to fostering educational exchange and collaboration, allowing educators from different countries to benefit from the rich educational landscape of Japan. Last year, the Japanese embassy had also announced the MEXT Research Scholarship 2024 for Masters and PhD students, demonstrating Japan’s ongoing efforts to promote international cooperation in the field of education.
