The Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah approved a proposal to purchase 87 vehicles for district judiciary officers and newly appointed judges of the Sindh High Court (SHC).

The approval was granted during the Sindh cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. The decision aims to facilitate judicial functions across the province.
Minister for Law Ziaul Hassan Lanjar informed the meeting that the High Court Administration had requested 87 vehicles for judicial officers and judges.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah emphasised the importance of strengthening institutions and promoting technology-driven growth.
He highlighted the need for improving public services and ensuring effective governance through timely implementation of cabinet decisions.
The Chief Minister directed all departments to pursue reforms and development initiatives in a coordinated manner.
It is pertinent to mention here that, the federal government last month announced major austerity and fuel conservation measures with immediate effect for the next three months.
The federal austerity measures September 2026 were issued through a Cabinet Division notification dated September 17. These steps aim to reduce government expenditure across all departments and ministries.
Official vehicle fuel provision will be reduced by fifty percent for three months. This excludes operational vehicles of Armed Forces, Civil Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, Essential Services, and FBR.
A five percent reduction in the Non-ERE Budget for FY 2026-27 has also been ordered. Deductions will be made on a monthly basis, and the measure will apply to foreign missions as well.
The government has imposed a complete ban has been imposed on the purchase of all types of vehicles for official use.
