The tournament, being held at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in France from August 5 to 8, features 32 of the world’s top Tekken players competing for a $1 million prize pool.
With nine competitors in the main event – nearly 30% of the field – Pakistan boasts the largest national representation in the tournament, highlighting the country’s continued dominance on the international Tekken scene.
The Pakistani lineup includes Arslan Ash, Atif Butt, Farzeen, Hafiz Tanveer, M. Zubair, Numan Ch, Qasim Meer, The Jon, and Usama Abbasi, combining experienced champions with emerging talent.
Pakistan’s representation grew after an impressive performance in the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ). While several players had already qualified through regional events and direct invitations, the final two available places were claimed by Pakistani competitors.
The LCQ concluded with an all-Pakistani grand final, where Khawaja “M. Zubair” Muhammad Zubair defeated Nauman “Numan Ch” Chaudhry to win the qualifier. As both finalists earned places in the main event, Pakistan’s contingent increased to nine players.
The competition is divided into three stages. During Stage 1 (August 5–6), the 32 participants are split into four double-elimination groups, with the top four players from each group advancing.
In Stage 2 (August 7), the remaining 16 competitors will battle through two double-elimination brackets before the tournament concludes with the Top 8 Playoffs (August 8), a single-elimination stage featuring first-to-five matches to determine the champion.

Leading Pakistan‘s challenge is Arslan Ash, widely regarded as one of the greatest Tekken players of all time, who enters the tournament after successfully defending his title at Evo 2026.
Among his biggest rivals is South Korea’s Lim “ULSAN” Soo-hoon, the two-time defending Esports World Cup champion, who is aiming to secure a third consecutive title.
With strong local support and live watch parties planned across Pakistan, the country’s players will be looking to continue their remarkable success and further cement Pakistan’s reputation as a global powerhouse in competitive Tekken.
