Today’s gold rates in Karachi and Pakistan, July 28, 2026:
- Gold, 24K per tola: Rs. 427,436 (-4,300)
- Gold, 24K per 10 grams: Rs. 366,457 (-3,687)
- Gold, 22K per 10 grams: Rs. 335,931 (-3,380)
International gold prices also fell sharply, declining by $43 to settle at $4,050 per ounce, reversing Monday’s gains and pulling global rates back toward the lower end of the range seen over the past week.
The steep decline in global gold rates was reflected in domestic pricing, with today’s gold rates in Karachi falling sharply across all categories throughout the session.
The scale of Tuesday’s fall almost exactly mirrors Monday’s gain of Rs. 4,000 per tola, illustrating how the market continues to oscillate violently in both directions without establishing any sustained trend.
Gold Rates in Karachi Reverse Monday’s Gains
Tuesday’s decline follows Monday’s powerful surge of Rs. 4,000 per tola, which had pushed gold rates in Karachi back to Rs. 431,736 and raised hopes that the broader recovery from last week’s historic lows was resuming with conviction.

Those hopes have now been comprehensively dashed in a single session, with Tuesday’s fall of Rs. 4,300 per tola giving back Monday’s gains entirely and returning prices exactly to where they stood on Friday.
The broader pattern that has emerged since last week’s historic low of Rs. 421,836 per tola is one of sharp swings in both directions, powerful one-day recoveries followed by equally sharp single-session reversals, with no clear and sustained directional move yet established.
Today’s gold rates in Karachi at Rs. 427,436 per tola sit roughly in the middle of the range that has characterized the market over the past week, reflecting the deeply uncertain environment.
Gold Rates in Karachi Hold Above Last Week’s Lows
At Rs. 427,436 per tola, today’s gold rates in Karachi remain well above the multi-month low of Rs. 421,836 per tola recorded on July 17, which provides some comfort even after Tuesday’s sharp decline.

Internationally, gold at $4,050 per ounce also continues to hold above the historic $4,000 threshold breached last week, maintaining the key recovery of that crucial level.
Market Direction Remains Deeply Uncertain
Gold rates in Pakistan continue to be shaped by global economic signals, currency movements, and investor sentiment.
Tuesday’s sharp reversal of Monday’s gains reinforces the highly volatile and unpredictable character of the current market environment, and a clear and sustained directional move in either direction has yet to emerge.
Traders and investors will be watching closely whether gold rates in Karachi can find support at current levels heading into the rest of the week, or whether Tuesday’s sharp reversal signals a return to the downward pressure that had dominated much of July.
All rates are officially certified by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, based on interbank exchange rates for 999 purity (24K).
