At least 42 people, including 11 security personnel, 27 police officials and four civilians, were martyred in three separate attacks carried out by militants in Balochistan, said Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a media talk.

Addressing a press conference, Lt Gen Chaudhry said security forces responded swiftly to the attacks and carried out multiple operations against the militants and killed 54 terrorists.
Indian involvement
The military spokesperson said that India was behind the recent wave of terrorism in Balochistan, stating that forces opposed to Pakistan’s peace, stability and economic development were supporting such activities.

He further stated that a majority of the militants involved in the attacks were Afghan nationals and said security agencies possessed evidence regarding their involvement.
DG ISPR Press Briefing
Lt Gen Chaudhry reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces, law enforcement agencies and intelligence institutions remained committed to eliminating terrorism, adding that operations against militant groups would continue.
Hanna Urak attack
According to the DG ISPR, the first attack took place on the night of July 4 and 5 in Hanna Urak, where militants targeted civilians.
He said four civilians were martyred and six others injured. Local residents resisted the attackers, forcing them to flee the area.
Ziarat attack
The second attack occurred at Mangi Dam Pumping Station No. 3 in Ziarat district, where police personnel were deployed to protect the pumping station and water pipeline supplying Quetta.
Lt Gen Chaudhry said police killed 15 terrorists during the initial exchange of fire, while nine police officials were martyred. He said the remaining police personnel were abducted.

Security forces later launched an operation in the mountainous area of Ziarat, killing 11 more terrorists. However, according to the DG ISPR, the abducted police personnel were executed by the militants.
He said a total of 27 police officials were martyred in the Ziarat attack, while 26 terrorists were killed. The operation in the area was continuing at the time of the briefing.
Bela-Winder attack
The third attack targeted a security forces convoy in the Bela area of Winder, where, according to the DG ISPR, the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) carried out the assault.
He said 11 security personnel, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), embraced martyrdom, while 14 terrorists were killed during the engagement.
Operations in Kharan and Dalbandin
Lt Gen Chaudhry said security forces also conducted intelligence-based operations in Kharan and Dalbandin, killing six and eight terrorists, respectively.
He said the combined operations brought the total number of militants killed to 54.
Remarks on Afghanistan and counterterrorism
The DG ISPR also stated that the Afghan Taliban administration was providing support and facilities to militants involved in attacks against Pakistan.

He said Balochistan remained central to Pakistan’s development and that militants were targeting projects intended to benefit local communities, including the Mangi Dam water supply project.
Reaffirming the resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies, Lt Gen Chaudhry said the country’s institutions would continue operations against terrorism and vowed that those responsible for attacks on civilians and security personnel would be brought to justice.
